Body found at bottom of cliffs on Penarth Beach

A body has been recovered from the bottom of the cliffs of Penarth beach.

South Wales police were called to the beach at around 9:17am this morning after someone spotted the body.

Swansea Coastguard arrived at the scene soon afterwards to help with the recovery of the body.

An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person.
