Police appeal for witnesses after cyclist death

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died following a road traffic collision in Denbighshire yesterday.

The woman in her mid-forties and from Denbighshire was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and later transferred to hospital in Stoke where she died overnight.

The collision, involving a lorry and a bicycle, happened at 10.47am at the junction of the Lower Denbigh Road at the cross roads of the B5428 from Trefnant to Henllan.

Police appealed to the public for help in trying to establish her identity and as a result officers were able to contact relatives yesterday
