Wales' first 'Pretty Muddy' fun run held in Cardiff
Cardiff's Bute Park will play host to Wales' first ever 'Pretty Muddy' fun run today, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The event is a new twist on the popular Race for Life events, which are held every year up and down the country.
The new non-competitive obstacle course is 5km long, and invites all women aged over 13, of all fitness levels, to take part.
Each event will have between 8 and 10 obstacles, including a combination of messy and muddy, climbing and crawling obstacles.
There are currently 19 events held across the UK, but today will be the first of its kind in Wales.
The entry fee is £14.99 for adults and £10 for girls under 16. This covers the costs of staging the event series and means that money raised in sponsorship can go to help beat cancer.
