A company which employs workers with disabilities will officially reopen its doors after it was saved from closure.

Monwel ltd. has transferred ownership from the local authority and will now operate as an independent enterprise, offering disadvantaged people the chance to work full time.

Cuts to local authority funding meant the factory which produces road and information signs was facing being shut down.

The business will now be operated as a social enterprise and 15 more jobs are expected to be created with many being given to former Remploy workers.
