Rowan Williams named as University of South Wales chancellor

Former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams has been named as the new Chancellor for the University of South Wales.

He will succeed the retiring Lord Morris of Aberavon at the newly named university.

Lord Williams, who was born in Ystradgynlais, Swansea, said he felt "personal pleasure and a sense of quiet pride" at the appointment.
