Mark Bridger has been jailed for life for the abduction and murder of five-year-old April Jones from Machynlleth. The 47-year-old was also found guilty of perverting the course of justice. The judge said he will never be released from prison.
April Jones' parents Coral, 43, and Paul, 41, have attended each day of Mark Bridger's trial at Mold Cown Court, watching events from a public gallery above the courtroom.
Mrs Jones was reported to have left the room 'visibly upset' during Mr Bridger's evidence today.
Brendan Kelly QC, defending, said the defence case has concluded.
The trial has been adjourned until 11am on Tuesday, when the barristers will give their closing speeches to the jury.
Mr Bridger denies the charges against him.
