Roger Fortey from Gwent Police thinks the pilot of 'Clare's Law' will make a difference to people's lives. The system, which is being trialled by Gwent police force, allows people to make an inquiry about a partner they suspect has a violent past.
It's named after Clare Wood, who was strangled by ex-boyfriend George Appleton in 2009. Her family later found out that he had a history of violence against women.
