South Wales Fire & Rescue Service say three crews are still tackling the fire at a factory unit in Pontyclun.
The blaze - at a recycling centre - broke out in the early hours of the morning.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council says roads in the area have now reopened.

Fire reported at industrial estate in Pontyclun
There have been reports of a large fire at a factory unit in Pontyclun.
South Wales Fire crews were called to Coedcae Lane Industrial Estate in the area just before half four this morning.
Six fire crews are still in attendance, along with four water bowsers and a hydraulic platform.
There are currently no reports of injuries or risk to surrounding properties.
