A mother who sparked a nationwide search after absconding with her four children has been warned by a judge she could face jail.

Jennifer Jones has been released from police custody after she was arrested in Blackwood on Wednesday.

Jennifer Jones from Llanelli, had broken a court order that stated the children should be returned to their father in Spain.

At the Family Division of the High Court in London today a judge said the 45-year-old should be released but Mr Justice Roderic Wood said he would ask Attorney General Dominic Grieve to consider beginning contempt of court proceedings against the teacher, which he warned could include a jail term.

The judge had asked for public help finding Ms Jones and four of her children after they disappeared earlier this week.
