Swansea City have confirmed that Scott Sinclair has left the club. The winger has joined Premier League champions Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old said he was relieved the deal had gone through - on transfer deadline day. He's spoken of the "great time" and "great memories" he holds from his time in South Wales. He played 82 league games for Swansea, scoring 28 goals. Three came in the Championship play-off final.

Swansea agrees Scott Sinclair deal 'for around £8m'

Swansea have agreed a fee with Manchester City for the sale of winger Scott Sinclair, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has made it clear he does not wish to sign a new deal at the Liberty Stadium, but Swansea rejected a £6.2m offer from Premier League champions City on Tuesday.

A restructured offer of £6.2m with add-ons that could see the fee rise to over £8million has now been accepted says the Press Association, and Sinclair is currently holding talks over personal terms.

With Sinclair's departure now imminent, manager Michael Laudrup is set to bolster his wide options after agreeing a fee of around £5.5million to sign Valencia's Spain international Pablo Hernandez.
