76-year-old woman rescued after suffering head injury in Snowdonia fall
A 76-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling on Cader Idris, near Dolgellau.
The woman, from Sutton Coldfield, was part of a walking group making its way down the Pony Path from a trip to the summit on Sunday afternoon.
She tripped and fell forward onto both arms and hit her head on the floor.
Aberdyfi mountain rescue found the pensioner. They said that she was cold but in 'good spirits'.
The coastguard helicopter arrived and she was flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd for further assessment and treatment.
