A465 closed after large lorry fire

A major South Wales valleys road is closed in both directions after a large lorry fire.

The A465 Heads of the Valleys road has been shut from Dowlais Top to Cefn Coed in Merthyr Tydfil.

It was reported around 4pm this afternoon after the lorry gave off large plumes of smoke.

Emergency services are advising residents to keep their windows and doors closed.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene.
