Racist graffiti and posters appear in Cardiff ahead of anti-racism march

Police and anti-racism campaigners have condemned a number of graffitied signs and posters that appeared near Grange Gardens in Cardiff over Thursday night.

It comes just a day ahead of an International Anti-Racism day and an anti-racism march - which is due to take place in the area.

Other members of the public reported seeing posters stuck to the front of an African restaurant on Penarth Road - but have since been taken down.

South Wales Police said it was investigating the matter and that "the vandalism of public buildings with such abhorrent racist graffiti is totally unacceptable criminal behaviour and it will not be tolerated."

Stand Up To Racism Wales has condemned the graffiti.
