Yorkshire MP appointed to the Wales Office
Yorkshire MP Stuart Andrew has been appointed as a junior minister at the Wales Office.
He was brought up on Anglesey and speaks Welsh.
Andrew unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary seat in Wrexham in 1997 but has represented Pudsey since 2010
The role was previously held by Aberconwy MP Guto Bebb, who has been moved to the Ministry of Defence.
Andrew is the first Welsh junior minister without a Welsh seat since 1974, though there have been several Secretaries of State with English seats.
