New faces join Welsh Government cabinet in reshuffle

Five new faces have joined the Welsh Government cabinet, with three ministers leaving their roles in Carwyn Jones's first reshuffle since last year's elections.

Jane Hutt is retiring from the Welsh Government having held a role in the cabinet since the Assembly was established in 1999.

Leader of the House and Chief Whip Jane Hutt is retiring from the Welsh Government having held a post in the cabinet ever since the Assembly was established in 1999. She is the only minister to have served for longer than Carwyn Jones himself.

Communities Secretary Carl Sargeant has been sacked from his cabinet role and suspended from the Welsh Labour party following allegations made against him over personal conduct.

Here's the new look cabinet:

Hannah Blythyn, Eluned Morgan and Huw Irranca-Davies are among those appointed to new roles.

Meanwhile, former presiding officer Dafydd Elis-Thomas makes a return as minister for culture, tourism and sport.
