An MP wants the UK Government to push for fresh DNA tests that might identify the killer of Kirsty Jones, who was murdered in Thailand in 2000.

Kirsty, from near Brecon, was 23 when she died in a guesthouse in Chiang Mai. The Brecon and Radnorshire MP Chris Davies asked the Prime Minister to intervene because the case is about to be abandoned.

Mr Davies also asked Theresa May to offer more support to families who have lost loved ones abroad and to ensure that Kirsty's belongings are finally returned to her parents. The Prime Minister said the British Government could not interfere with a police investigation in another country but that the British Embassy in Bangkok would continue to raise the family's concerns with the Thai government.
