Train services resume as Severn Tunnel is reopened after six weeks of disruption
Normal service have resumed after the Severn Tunnel was closed for six weeks for Network Rail electrification works.
The closure of the 130-year-old tunnel has allowed engineers to install over eight miles of electrical equipment to power a new fleet of electric trains.
During those six weeks, extra flights were put on between Cardiff and London City Airport as an alternative way to get to the capital during the Severn Tunnel closure.
