The RNLI has issued a warning for people to check the tide before crossing causeways.
It comes after four people had to be rescued from the outer island at Mumbles by The Mumbles RNLI Lifeboat yesterday.
The coastguard was alerted to the plight of the group when a passing yacht called to report that they were attempting to cross but were stuck and that the causeway was almost covered with water.
