First Welsh organ donation statistics released since presumed consent system launch

For for the first time we can see how the new organ donation system is working in Wales.

Figures released today show that in the first two months of the system:

The same period in the previous year saw six donors.

The Welsh Government says the early numbers are encouraging but it's still too early to draw any firm conclusions.
