Human remains were found by volunteers renovating a disused church near Swansea
Human remains have been found under a pew at a disused village church near Swansea.
The skull and bones were discovered by volunteers restoring the sixth century Llangiwg Church in Rhydyfro.
It's not yet clear how old the bones are, but South Wales Police says forensic examinations are underway. The church has been unused since 2004 and was bought by the Friends of Llangiwg Church in 2007 for use as a community facility. Renovation work is on hold while police investigation continue.
