Tributes paid to man found in golf course lake

A green keeper has died at a golf club when he fell into a lake while collecting golf balls.

Gareth Pugh, 29, was found in the at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club, in Newport, where he worked as a greens keeper.

Players and staff raised the alarm and specialist police diving teams using underwater cameras pulled dad-of-one Gareth's body from the lake on Thursday afternoon.

He was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he later died.
