Driver's intentions 'genuine' say police after mother and child were offered lift in downpour
Police, who launched an investigating over a "suspicious incident" when a man driving a Range Rover offered a mother and her young child a lift in the pouring rain, say his "intentions were genuine".
An appeal was issued on Monday following a number of reported incidents in the Pentwyn and Pontprennau areas of Cardiff.
South Wales Police says a man has now come forward and apologised for causing concern.
The 41-year-old has admitted being the driver who offered the mother and child a lift in Heol Pontprennau.
