Short films created to highlight Wales' need for blood bikes
A series of short films has been created to raise awareness of blood bikes in Wales.
Made up of volunteers, the group of expert motorcyclists deliver blood and other medical supplies across the country.
As well as transporting units of blood to hospitals for use in various treatments, they also deliver samples.
This means that if a patient comes into hospital in need of an urgent diagnosis, samples can reach testing facilities quickly and therefore cut down on diagnosis time
The group currently operates as far as Aberystwyth, down to the Royal Gwent and to Withybush in West Wales
With plans to expand further north, the group has enlisted the help of students from the University of South Wales to help raise awareness of their work and appeal for more bikers to join the team.
