Police re-appeal to find mother after 'unsupervised open air' birth
Police are re-appealing for information three months after an incident where a woman is believed to have given birth in the 'open air' without any medical assistance or supervision.
The woman is believed to have given birth in the Parc Seymour, Penhow area of Newport sometime between Sunday 18 and Monday 19 October 2015.
Evidence of the birth was discovered by dog-walker on the morning of Monday 19 October. It is thought the baby is female, following forensic and medical examinations.
Officers say that despite their appeals, no one has come forward with any information to help identify the woman involved.
