Churches in Wales asked to help tackle climate change
Churches in Wales are being asked to help with tackling climate change.
From cutting carbon emissions from the vicarage to transforming the graveyard into a wildlife haven – churches across Wales are looking at what action they can each take to tackle climate change.
Questionnaires are being sent to congregations to find out what churches are already doing and what more they could do.
The results will help the Church in Wales develop its local and national strategy.
Action is likely to include energy conservation and using renewable energy, encouraging the community to adapt their life-styles, developing prayer and worship resources, promoting ecological projects and supporting global initiatives, such as Fairtrade.
