Doctor Who fan? This exhibition could be just for you - Daleks join master of art
Perhaps only a Doctor Who fan in the adoptive home of Doctor Who will fully appreciate classical art scenes featuring - Daleks.
The exhibition of Daleks in art is on show at a Cardiff Bay gallery.
And 'The Master' behind the inspiration is these works, which fuse the hit TV series with paintings from the 19th century, is the artist Adolphe Bouguereau.
The paintings are born of the imagination of artist Kate Richardson, a self-taught artist, occupational therapist and mother-of-two.
Kate, who is the sister of Changing Rooms star Anna Ryder Richardson, says the inspiration came from her children.
In a previous exhibition in Cornwall there was some negative reaction over the religious imagery but Kate hopes audiences in Cardiff, the adoptive home of Doctor Who, will be more welcoming.
The paintings will be on display at a new pop up art gallery Oriel A&B in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay until December 6th.
