Flood warnings as wind and rain batter Wales

Severe gales have brought down at tree at the Military Cemetery at Pembroke Dock.

Storms continue to batter Wales with roads closed In Builth Wells and flood alerts for mid and north Wales.

Natural Resources Wales is warning people of the heightened risk of flooding as more heavy rain is forecast.

Five flood warnings have currently been issued for:

  • Rivers Mawddach, Wnion and the town of Dolgellau

  • Dyfi valley

  • Conwy Valley

  • River Severn at Dolwern and Llandinam

  • River Vyrnwy in the Meifod area

To help those at risk of flooding, Natural Resources Wales has recently launched a live flood warning map which are available its website.
