Police appeal after train guard is punched in the head

British Transport Police want to speak to a man in connection with an incident of a train guard being punched in the head at Merthyr Vale station.

The incident took place at around 8pm on Wednesday 14th October.

Police have released a CCTV image of the man they believe can help their investigation.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20's, approx 5ft 10in, of medium build and was wearing a grey hooded top with a logo on the front, dark trousers and trainers. He was also carrying a bottle of cider.

Police say the victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the attack but it was a "very distressing incident".
