71-year-old man cut off by tides near Tenby
The RNLI is urging people to take extra care on the coast as 'supertides' occur around Wales.
The warning comes after a 71-year-old man was cut off by the sea near Wiseman’s Bridge. He was rescued by Tenby inshore lifeboat.
The abnormally big tides - dubbed 'supertides'- follow Monday's 'supermoon', when the moon appeared larger in the sky as it was in the closest part of its orbit to Earth.
Tides were higher than normal this morning and will be higher again tonight and seven flood alerts were in place for south east, west and mid Welsh coastlines at noon.
