Plans to save Wales' ancient woodland will be announced at the Eisteddfod today.

The forestry around Ceunant Llennyrch yn Snowdonia has been likened to a rainforest because of the 200 moss and liverwarts that live and thrive in the humid conditions.

The Woodland Trust will launch their campaign to buy the 220 hectares of forest in Llennyrch.

The Trust want to protect this unique eco-system and create more woodland and also open more areas of this unique place to the public.
