The family of missing man Michael Davies have made a personal appeal for him to make contact after his disappearance while on a coach holiday to the Isle of Wight.

Michael, aged 71, from Blaina in Gwent was enjoying the break with his wife.

Mr Davies went missing from a hotel in Sandown on the evening of Tuesday, May 26th. He was seen on CCTV walking along Avenue Road, at around 1am in the morning and then disappeared.

Michael, known as Mike to his family, was last seen wearing jeans, a blue T-shirt, a blue 'Reebok' jumper and a baseball cap.

Hampshire Police says searches on the island using police dogs and specialist officers are planned to continue but there is no evidence at this time to suggest Mr Davies has been the victim of a crime.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Isle of Wight Investigation team at Newport police station by phoning on 101.
