First Minister's Questions

As you may expect First Minister's Questions was all about sacked Environment Minister Alun Davies. The story gradually unfolded this morning with a statement from the First Minister explaining that Mr Davies had to go after he'd emailed the civil service to get private information about the financial interests of a number of Assembly Members.

They included Leader of the Opposition Andrew Davies who was incandescent with rage at this intrusion. He wanted to see Alun Davies removed as an Assembly Member as well.

There followed a furious exchange, more apologies and an intervention by the Presiding Officer.

Earlier Leanne Wood had attempted to get some answers from the FM on the Alun Davies saga but was sent into a verbal cul-de-sac with a large dose of short shrift from the FM. She was left seething.

Kirsty Williams , the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats , returned to the theme of further punishment to be lined up for Alun Davies. Should the party withdraw the whip? Apparently not.
