Watch ITV's Wales lunch news bulletin from the gallery

Lunchtime

Our live programmes are controlled from the studio gallery. It's a bit of walk from the studio itself, but the director can still speak directly to the presenters.

There are more people in the gallery for our lunch news compared to the early bulletin.

More: Andrew Jones explains how the early bulletins are produced

There is always a full rehearsal before every bulletin, in order to check the material, graphics and scripts.

The director is in overall control during the bulletin

Each lunch and evening programme has a sound technician, a Vision controller (cameras and lights), a director (in the centre of the picture), PA (who keeps an eye on the duration and counts down for the presenter), a producer and an autocue operator (on the far right of the picture).
