2nd July 1981 - Last sighting of Karen Price. She was 15 years old and livingat a residential children’s home in Cardiff at the time.

7th December 1989 - Workmen digging at the rear of 29 Fitzhammon Embankment, a house in the Riverside area of Cardiff, find the buried remains of a young woman wrapped in a carpet.

26th January 1990 - Police announce the remains are believed to be those of Karen Price. A clay reconstruction of the skull is revealed, which is used for comparison with her photo.

26th February 1991 - Idris Ali and Alan Charlton are found guilty of murder.

21st December 1994 - Idris Ali walks free from Cardiff Crown Court. His initial conviction for murder quashed, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He was released, having already served five years in jail.
