Organisers say 814 people turned out dressed as Elvis at Porthcawl this morning - setting a new world record for the largest gathering of Elvis Presley impersonators.

Participants in the record attempt also sang the 1956 hit 'Hound Dog'. They then got together - led by the current holder of the title 'Best Welsh Elvis', Darren Jones - to parade from Trecco Bay into Porthcawl.

The existing record of 645 was set in Las Vegas in 2010. Today's attempt was part of Porthcawl Elvis Festival, the biggest event of its kind in Europe.
