Murder investigation after Nantyffyllon stabbings

A murder investigation is underway after two men were found with stab wounds in Maesteg.

South Wales Police say one died from his injuries and the other is critically ill in hospital.

Police have named the victim of yesterday's stabbing as 20-year-old Thomas Sutton.

The pair were discovered at Tonna Road in Nantyffyllon at around 9pm last night.

A crime scene is being preserved at the location and officers have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
