55% of people with autism are bullied at school or college, according to figures from the National Autistic Society Cymru. On World Autism Awareness Day they are highlighting the problem to raise awareness of the condition and help prevent bullying.

Across the UK there are 500 000 people with the condition. 22 year old Jonathan Hanna from Cardiff has Asperger Syndrome - a form of autism. He was bullied at school, largely because he struggled to understand social situations.

He left aged just 14 and ended up being admitted to a psychiatric ward. It wasn't until he was 21 that he was diagnosed with the condition.
