Funeral held for Belfast musician Bap Kennedy

The funeral of musician Bap Kennedy has taken place in Belfast.

It was held at O’Kane’s funeral home in city centre on Friday, as mourners gathered to pay their respects to the 54-year-old.

Mr Kennedy, brother of singer Brian Kennedy, died on Tuesday evening following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

The former Energy Orchard frontman had been cared for in a Marie Curie hospice since August and had been blogging about his condition since his diagnosis.

Paying tribute, his family said he had been “extremely brave until the end”.
