'Large number of cars on fire' at yard in Garvagh

The Fire Service has said a large number of cars are on fire at a car breakers in Garvagh.

Crews were called to the yard on the Belraugh Road just after 2pm on Tuesday.

A spokesperson said: “Six fire appliances from Coleraine,Dungiven, Maghera, Ballymoney and Limavady Fire Stations are in attendance along with a water tanker from Pomeroy Fire Station and a command support unit from Kilrea Fire Station.

“The fire emergency support service vehicle has also been deployed to the scene. The incident is ongoing.”
