Violence against Northern Ireland fans in Nice was orchestrated by so-called "ultras" on Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning.

Local media reports said that around 20 local "ultras" were responsible for the Nice attacks, with PSNI officers in the area confirming that line.

UTV reporter Ruth Gorman had earlier reported that NI and Polish fans were singing and enjoying the build-up to the game together peacefully, with the violence later that night short-lived.
