Rapid Transit bus lanes have started operating in west Belfast to give road users a chance to get used to the new layout before the Glider buses start to run.

The new lanes will run from 7am until pm Monday to Saturday between McKinstry Road roundabout and the city centre – on Stewartstown Road, Andersonstown Road, Falls Road and Divis Street.

They make allowances for loading/unloading between 10am and 2pm, and for vehicles displaying a blue badge to stop for up to 10 minutes to drop-off or pick up a blue badge holder.

Glider services will start on 3 September.

Roads users are being asked to take extra care until they are familiar with the new arrangements.
