Plane and 50ft boat under the hammer at police auction

As you stood in the summer airport queues, perhaps you daydreamed about owning your own private plane. Well, now you can.

A Cessna aircraft is among the lots featuring at a proceeds of crime auction in Belfast.

If getting airborne does not 'float your boat', a 50ft cabin cruiser and a Porsche are also among the items for sale.

Wilsons Auctions are putting the items up for bidding, on behalf of the government.

All of the goods for sale have been seized by law enforcement agencies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The auction will be held later on Thursday and among the high-value listings are the Delfino, a 54ft motor boat and the Sander, a 28ft yacht and over 50 luxury watches.

A number of cars, including a Hummer H2, a Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes E220 and BMW 520D are also on offer.

Aidan Larkin, the company's Asset Recovery Manager said similar sales had returned over £80m to the public purse.
