All Ireland Irish Dance Championships held in Belfast

Hundreds of Irish dancers are competing in this year's All Ireland Championships in Belfast.

The All Ireland Dancing Championships or Oireachtas Rince na h-Éireann, has returned to the city and is attracting talent from across the world.

The competition at the Waterfront in Belfast began on Monday and runs until Saturday.

The six-day dance event is organised by An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha and is expected to bring in excess of 1,600 competitors and 7,000 spectators to Belfast.

The event, which was established in 1932, is the longest running major competition in the Irish dance calendar.
