IN PICS: Final preparations for Eleventh Night bonfires

Final preparations are being made ahead of Eleventh Night bonfires being lit across parts of Northern Ireland.

The Fire Service continues to urge anyone responsible for, or attending, a bonfire to take proper safety precautions.

Huge towering structures have been constructed at sites, largely from wooden pallets, with efforts also ongoing to try to dissuade anyone from burning tyres or other hazardous material.

At some locations, work has had to be undertaken to protect property due to the close proximity of bonfire sites to homes.
