Tourism Ireland have unveiled the final Game of Thrones door in Belfast, marking the completion of the campaign to promote Northern Ireland to millions of the show’s fans worldwide.

The last door was unveiled at The Dark Horse on Hill Street in the city.

It comes as the concluding episode of season six of the hit fantasy series aired on Monday night.

Tourism Ireland, in partnership with HBO, have been revealing a door each week as series six unfolded, with each door referencing key scenes and incorporating various symbols from the show.

Doors have been unveiled in various locations across Northern Ireland in recent weeks, including Enniskillen, Portaferry, Ballintoy and Limavady.

The ten doors were all carved from the trees blown down in Storm Gertrude at the iconic Dark Hedges in Co Antrim – which serves as the backdrop for the Kingsroad.

Tourism Ireland has also unveiled its final limited edition Game of Thrones stamp, another element of its campaign, produced in conjunction with the Royal Mail.
