Diane Abbott struggles again on police funding

Diane Abbott has struggled once again when questioned about police funding.

The Labour MP gave a muddled response when asked by ITV News about how the party would fund its policing plans.

Ms Abbott previously mixed up her numbers when asked about the policy, suggesting it would only cost £30 per police officer.

She later explained she had been suffering from diabetes.

Ms Abbott was speaking on Thursday following the biggest rise in crime in England and Wales for 10 years.
