Middlesbrough goalkeeper set for Spain return
Middlesbrough keeper Tomas Mejias is in Spain with a view to completing a loan move to Rayo Vallecano.
Press Association Sport understands the 27-year-old Spaniard, who joined the Teessiders from Real Madrid's B team during the summer of 2014 after a month-long loan spell the previous season, is close to sealing a deal to spend the remainder of the season in his native country.
Mejias has found himself fourth in line at the Riverside Stadium this season behind compatriot Victor Valdes, Brad Guzan and Dimi Konstantopoulos, and has been a frustrated by-stander for the entire campaign to date.
