US President elect Donald Trump has met with President Barack Obama at the White House following yesterday's election victory.

Mr Trump said he had discussed "a lot of situations, including some difficulties" with the serving President - and said he looked forward to more meetings together.

Nasa astronauts cast their vote from space

US astronaut Shane Kimbrough cast his postal vote from space Credit: Reuters

US astronauts have cast their votes in the presidential election from space.

Current ISS team member Shane Kimbrough is understood to have cast his postal vote from thousands of miles above the earth under special arrangements signed off in 1997.
