Brussels bombing suspect let go as new 'man in hat' CCTV footage released

Belgian police have released a man that they had initially charged with "participation in a terrorist group" and "terrorist killings" in connection with the Brussels attacks on the same day that they revealed new CCTV footage of another suspect.

Faycal C, who was the only person charged in connection with last week's attacks, was released due to "lack of evidence", prosecutors said.

It comes as US Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump warned Britain and Europe are "not safe" following the recent terror attacks.

Ten suspects have been arrested in three European countries today as police investigate the Brussels terror attacks.

Seven were arrested in Brussels, one in Paris and reportedly two in Germany.

The police operation in Brussels on Friday is linked to an attack plot in France that was foiled by French police on Thursday.

The raids, taking place in the borough of Schaerbeek, saw one man "neutralised" after he was shot in the leg, according to Belgian media.

German police have arrested two people they suspect are linked to the Islamist suicide Bombers who killed 31 people in Brussels on Tuesday.
