EU leaders agree on migrant deal with Turkey

President of the European Council Donald Tusk has confirmed all EU leaders have reached an agreement with Turkey's prime minister to curb the migration crisis.

The new arrangements could come into force as soon as Sunday after a revised deal was reached between Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu and European Council president Donald Tusk in Brussels.

Turkey: Europe's future is on the table

Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that "the whole future" of Europe is on the table as he arrived for an emergency summit in Brussels to discuss Turkey's part in stemming the migrant crisis.

Speaking to reporters ahead of negotiations, he said how "indispensable the EU is for Turkey and Turkey for the EU."

He said that the way to respond to the EU migrant crisis "is with solidarity ... we have to see the whole picture, not just irregular migration."
